Born and raised in France, Yohann moved to the US in 2003 to play soccer and pursue an MBA at The University of Akron. His performance on the field was recognized with an invitation to the MLS Combine in Los Angeles and a first-team All-America selection in 2005. He went on to play for several professional and semi-professional teams back in France.

In 2012, he began his Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in organizational behavior, consulting with professional soccer and basketball organizations. Over the years, he worked with teams and athletes across four continents, helping bring home championship titles in more than 5 countries.

In 2016, Dr. Mauger, and his wife, Devon, made their way back to the US. Yohann is currently an Assistant Professor of Management at Northern Kentucky University at Haile/US Bank College of Business. More specifically, his research focuses on soft skills, coach-to-player fit, and recruiting. He still plays soccer for fun.
